i did, rebooted and all that changed was no sound coming from the headphone jack anymore.. i plug in headphones and speakers still dont get cut off and no sound from headphones anymore.. i tried...

i did for some time yesterday.. and still no change.

i've been on 11.04 from when it was released up till August 4th. everything was working fine till i plugged my headphones in. i could hear sound from my headphones but from my laptop speakers aswell....
i really appreciate the help there.. i'll look into it, but if anything. i will try and save for a new laptop and sell this. thnk you adroitster

my sound works good, but very often my headphone jack stops working. i tried a few things, but no luck. then i turn it off and the next day it works again, but only to later go out again. can anyone...
