It's interesting, but all over the internet people ask the same question and always get the same wrong answer ... :-\
@markbl: di you read the previous posts? michael and me already have this...
Doesn't even one of the gnome shell dev team use more than one screen?
It's really shocking how such basic bug has never been fixed ... :-(
@markbl: The reason why I'd like to mix those 3 elements is that the unity panel is supior to all other panels, even the gnome shell dash. It correctly displays java apps launchers, wine apps like...
Hmm strange, that right click opens the app on your machine ...
When I right click on an unlaunched app in launcher, a context menu pops up allowing me to unpin the app and showing quicklist...
it's possible to put the launcher to the bottom, but only with a third party hack: http://www.google.com/search?q=unity%20bottom
I don't think that it's possible to change the unity function key...
Hi guys,
another cornerstone of my perfect ubuntu setup is ready: I managed to start the unity launcher inside gnome shell.
My setup now looks like this:

I'd really like to work with Gnome Classic, but as said, I want a modern window manager. Taskbars are dead!
Today I managed to start the plain old gnome-panel in Gnome Shell. This gives a global...

If I use the gnome menu (just...

If no window is open everything works normally....
Thanks alot man, that's awesome ;-)
I don't understand why this isn't implemented in the indicator-appmenu already? Imho, it's very important to see the name of the current app, at least for...
I really like it ;-)
Why?
* Gnome globelmenu
* Docky
* Nice theme - though a elementary window border (mac os-like) would be much better
What I suggest to make it even better ;-)
* Slim down...
Unfortunately there seems to be some windows-specific requirements needed for accessing skydrive via webdav protocol. Normally on windows, connecting to webdav shares does show up the "normal" wndows...

I had a similar problem. Pulseaudio simply hanged and didn't load my config. Something in my ~/.pulse* config files were currupt. I deleted the whole folder from another account, then logged in and...
I exactly followed the guide ... and rendered my system unbootable ...
But tjeremiah worked - at least partly. INstead of ugly terminal output I now just see a blackscreen (flickers between ubuntu...
I get this ugly terminal messages even on a freshly installed Lucid.
Maybe my ATI Radeon X800 PCI-e graphics cards is incompatible ... who knows?
I have such strange terminal messages and...
