    [gnome] Unredirect fullscreen gnome-shell

  4. Re: Windows doesn't have permissions to view USB stick on Ubuntu in network

I've never used pysdm, and I personally think it's easier just to edit it by hand. There is a good guide on fstab here, but I would recommend adding the following line to your fstab:

    [other] Re: Installing multiple OSs

Yes, putting a "/" partition is required, and ext4 is a good choice for it. / is your root partition, where your system is installed to, so without it you have nothing.

    [other] Re: Installing multiple OSs

Yes, it should. But sometimes things mess up during an install, so who knows. Did you try holding down the shift key after your bios screen goes away?
  7. Re: Windows doesn't have permissions to view USB stick on Ubuntu in network

Unfortunately you are going to have to edit the fstab. It's nothing scary, and it shouldn't break anything unless you modify what is already in there. That guide with pysdm was pretty detailed, I...

    [other] Re: Installing multiple OSs

You don't really need a separate installation for Xubuntu/Ubuntu, you can have both on the same install. Just do sudo apt-get install xubuntu-desktop, or sudo apt-get install ubuntu-desktop.

    That...

Can you give me a link to the driver you downloaded? You most likely have to build the drivers yourself. There should be a file named README or install or something like that with instructions.

    [SOLVED] Re: Using Skype

By left most I meant the left most on the right side. It will probably be next to the network manager icon. I would show you a screenshot, but apparently that doesn't work with the skype icon.

There should be an icon in the top panel, most likely the left most one. If you are signed in it will be green with a check mark, otherwise it will be grey.
  20. [ubuntu] Re: My wifi still not working, despite installing the drivers. Non working command.

Try doing running sudo update-initramfs after running modprobe ndiswrapper and then restart your computer. I can't guarantee it will work, as I don't use ndiswrapper, but it won't hurt to try.
