    Shutdown took forever. And ever. Finally powered off.

    Made the .iso with zsync using vivid .iso renamed as wily. Went quickly wily hasn't changed much.

    Using 15.04 updated most days, running Unity and Firefox 37. Some problems with Unity but not with Firefox or Chromium.

    I don't like Unity - I run it to report bugs.

    For some reason the file permissions are screwed up and Ubuntu Development has not fixed it..

    zsync'd the image as of 2013, used Disks to restore image to a USB stick. Easy and relatively safe.

    Booted better - a bit dark so I had to guess where...

    Synaptic settings repositories crashed.

    For that matter,

    Also, System Settings > Software & Updates won't start.
