sudo cpan -fi Device::USB results in
ERROR: Can't find libusb library.
I do have libusb and libusb-dev installed.
I managed to get my TRRS connector working by adding the following line to `/etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf` (because a line with the same prefix did not exist already):

It's strange that it's asking for the root password, and not your own. If you want, you can set the root password. I'm sure this is generally discouraged though, so be sure you put a very good...

Another thing to note is in your Settings (Kile>Complete) you have to type the number of characters set in "Thereshold."
I got it to work by adding the medibuntu repository and installing w32codecs and libdvdcss2. You'll probably want to update other media applications too with that repository. You also probably don't...

I think the issue is with new copyright protection. I'm trying to figure this out also. We may have to wait for libdvdnav to be updated.
