    Yes! Version 1.6.1 works with no problem!! (That's the latest available thru Synaptics right now).

    Thank you, George. I installed 1.5.9, now it drops connection not at once, like 1.6.2, but after about 5 sec timeout. So I believe the problem is in "Karmic" 9.10 release.

    It's funny, I tried it out. It certainly works different albeit 'a lot better'. Wicd can discover all wireless networks and can connect to some, but can't to my own. Now, the Network Manager can't...

    But it did (and does). I mean it used to discover all networks and now connects to the previously discovered networks at boot time. I don't know what's changed and whether it's a bug or a new feature...

    OK, I don't know what I did but about a week ago my Network Manager (applet) stopped discovering wireless...
