    yea, i've heard about that equalizer, if you've noticed, there are tons of people around the internet and also in this forum looking for a common equalizer in alsa in general.

    i've been using tons of audio players, from xmms and rhythmbox to exaile, amarok, bmp, bmpx to audacious, listen, banshee, some console players, mpd, xmms2, mocp, and gosh i can't say any of them...

    Ever read about joy2key? it converts joystick/joypad buttons to keys on the keyboard and sends the events to the window you select. you mean something like that?
