I have exactly the same issue but using Arch Linux. My thread is here, please let me know if you get a solution and I'll do the same for you.
I've emailed AMD so I'll let you know what they...
Try installing indicator-cpufreq and turning CPU down to a lower speed.
Oneiric may have your CPU constantly running at top speed.
I've got an E-350 processor, and have installed the cpu speed indicator. I have to manually switch between performance (1.6GHZ) and ondemand when I switch from power to battery. How can I make the...
I'm a fan of Gentoo Linux or OpenBSD on servers, would run fine on both of these.
Edit: Due to need for game servers, I'd err towards Gentoo as many blobs aren't compiled for BSD.
If it were me I'd avoid skimping on the PSU.
If he ever decides he wants to play anything up to date (Starcraft II) the machine will need a new GPU, and along with it a PSU. You can get a decent...
Should run 11.10 fine, maybe without Unity-3D but foresee no other issues.
Well, I sat in IRC asking this question for four hours and got no assistance whatsoever, so maybe the forum will be able to help.
I'm on unity-2D on Oneiric, and that horrible green Skype icon is...
For some reason, since installing Skype, even though I agree to the EULA, it appears when I next reboot and start Skype.
Skype also doesn't save my password.
Any ideas?
I'm on 11.10 amd64.

Turn off 'Disable Trackpad While Typing' worked for me on HP Pavilion DM1-3200SA with this issue.
Failing that:
ctrl-alt-f2
Log into tty
sudo rmmod psmouse
sudo modprobe psmouse
It's not...
Any GPUs in the machine? (they're the real power hogs) and will it be running a GUI or not?
Click the battery in Unity toolbar > power settings > When I close the lid > Do nothing.
You can save in the new format too, at least my LibreOffice has that function.
Look for Office Open XML Text (docx) and similar.
League of Legends.
DOTA 2.
Press ctrl-alt-f2 to enter tty, login there and see if you can change your password there (if prompted, or with the passwd command).
I think that can be installed from terminal:
sudo apt-get install gnome-device-manager
As per the title, running unity-2D, when I open alt-f2 it only takes up about a quarter of the screen, there is a maximise button in the bottom right.
How do I make it maximise by default?
You probably need to set your proxy up globally.
Go into Settings > Network > Network Proxy and input your authentication details in there.
Alternatively, if your proxy is a Windows NTLM proxy,...
It's probably something like Fn Lock if you have one.
Try pressing your Fn key.
The best fix would surely be to use something other than the home directories for the websites.
If you type in the URL of the image from outside your network, does it show up?
Need to establish whether the issue is with Wordpress not displaying the image correctly or with Apache not reading...
I have an i7-720QM with 8GB DDR3 RAM and an SSD. Firefox lag persists with lots of tabs open, especially if some of them are things like Twitter or Facebook which makes a lot of ajax calls.
So you're just posting your University coursework on the forum and hoping someone will do it for you? Try asking in the programming section, and then try asking specific questions.
Definitely going to have to get this... always wanted Aquaria. ^^
Edit: Also, what is a .mojo file?
It follows the recursive algorithm naming convention so popular in the *NIX community, like GNU (Gnu's Not Unix) but ultimately follows and fulfills all definitions of an emulator.
