  1. [ubuntu] Re: Batch Producing .deb Files With A .sh Script?

Well... They're not .deb's yet. They're just the folders with the contents of the .deb and the "control" file.
  2. [ubuntu] Re: Batch Producing .deb Files With A .sh Script?

Thanks a million! I'll test it out a little later. Looks promising though!
  3. [ubuntu] Batch Producing .deb Files With A .sh Script?

Could anyone out there help me out real fast? I have about 30 .deb files that I need to compile, but I don't want to have to go through and manually run "dpkg-deb -b PACKAGENAME" for every one of...
  4. Re: Create and edit "objects" in Javascript

For my project, there will be a circle in the middle with lines coming out of the sides. Depending on where the line comes out of the circle, it corresponds to a certain time of day. It's a day...
  5. Re: Create and edit "objects" in Javascript

Will do. Seems a bit complex though. All I need is a way for the user to define an angle and have a line drawn from the center of a circle to about 200 pixels out with a text box at the end...
  6. Re: Create and edit "objects" in Javascript

Ok. So it's not easy. Got it. But I didn't think the project would be in the first place.

IS there an easy way to do what I want? If so I'd love to hear about it...
  7. Re: Create and edit "objects" in Javascript

Ok. I guess I'll do some more poking around in that site. But I know for a FACT that it's possible to draw objects with Javascript. It may not be easy, but it's a good exercise. :p
  8. Create and edit "objects" in Javascript

I'm working on a little Javascript project. But I'm pretty much a newb when it comes to that kind of coding, so I was wondering if some of you could help me get started.

I need to have the user...
  9. Re: Guitar Hero controller in Gutsy (Playstation and Xbox versions?)

I've actually moved over to Mac OS X now and don't plan on putting together a package myself (I was never able to do that in the first place). But anyone else who's willing is welcome to.
  10. Re: Guitar Hero controller in Gutsy (Playstation and Xbox versions?)

Everyone's experienced this. It's just a bad driver. At least it works though. If you find a way around it, be sure to let us know!
  11. Re: New Internet accountability software: Net Responsibility

what would be the proper way to set this up to work with gmail? i haven't gotten a report in three weeks...
  12. Re: Guitar Hero controller in Gutsy (Playstation and Xbox versions?)

Lol. I'm getting a lot of attention now! :p
  13. Re: Guitar Hero controller in Gutsy (Playstation and Xbox versions?)

Hmmm. NO IDEA what went so wrong with yours... but the strange character scrolling is just a sign that it worked. You don't have to let them scroll. I'm guessing the problem was that you let them...

    Re: "Emulate" GameGuard

Lol. This project doesn't much matter to me personally anymore as I am swapping my main machine over to Mac OS X in the near future, but we still do need this for the Linux community.
  15. Re: Guitar Hero controller in Gutsy (Playstation and Xbox versions?)

Lol. You're welcome. It was my pleasure. Twas quite a learning experience on my part. ;)
  16. Re: Guitar Hero controller in Gutsy (Playstation and Xbox versions?)

  17. Re: what games does everyone here play currently?

ragnarok online. :) naturally, i play it on my windoze partition. curse you gameguard!
  18. Re: Guitar Hero controller in Gutsy (Playstation and Xbox versions?)

The solution to the problem is to plug the guitar in AFTER the progress bar gets past the 20ish% mark. It's a dirty, fix, but a fix nonetheless.
  19. Re: [HOWTO] Sharing files with vsftpd ftp server

But after it's all set up, how do I use an FTP client like FileZilla to access/upload/download files? And can I use a similar configuration to host a web page?
  20. Re: New Internet accountability software: Net Responsibility

It may have already been mentioned (I don't have time to read the entire thread), but it would be a nice addition to be able to change the frequency of the send times. Swapping from once a week to...

    "Emulate" GameGuard

First off, this isn't another "I can't run my favorite game! Please fix it l33t Linux gurus!" No no. I'm as sick of those threads as the rest of you are.

This thread is meant to answer a few...
  23. Re: Trouble installing Photoshop Elements 3 with wine

Lol. Well, if you own it, it's not exactly illegal. ;)
  24. Re: Trouble installing Photoshop Elements 3 with wine

I know it's installed in the /home directory, but for some reason, the installer wouldn't even try to run unless you used "sudo." But Photoshop Elements 3 and Corel Painter Essentials dot' work. ...
  25. Re: Trouble installing Photoshop Elements 3 with wine

you have to stick "sudo" in front of the command to give it write permission. photoshop elements 3 doesn't install sadly... painter essentials installs without a hitch though. photoshop needs...
