I use Kubuntu just installed Ibex 8.10, with KDE 4.1, and am so anxious for Jaunty and KDE 4.2 to come out, both seem like they will be very awesome. Windows has been long gone for about a year, I...
I actually had the same problem one time, when I was using GNOME. I know use KDE and not really compiz(yet). But I do not remember being able to fix it, I just picked something different, like ctrl,...

Yes, already did, it doesn't do anything, it just says there were 0 upgraded, repaired, etc. Zero for everything. It's almost like it doesn't know that there are broken packages, because synaptic's...
Has no effect, same problem, reloaded the package list also.
As for the source.list file, the problem is... I have added a bunch of things and subsequently commented them out before, so I'm not sure at all what I should be looking for....

I believe if you did not have the disk, you would have to go into Software Sources, then uncheck to use the CD-ROM. This would, of course require you to rebuild the software list, and have an active...
Don't forget to resize the partition that ******* resides on, so you can regain the space.
Have you tried to enable it with only one monitor? It's probably not related to you having dual monitors. It's probably just the drivers not working properly for your card.
Okay, thanks.
Hello fellow ubuntuers'...
I have tried to install the Xubuntu Alternate CD install, and am stuck at a portion where it asks which version of the kernel do I want to install.... this is part of...
Your welcome, don't forget to hit that thank-you button on my post :)

Hello, I just installed a CD/DVD RW/R and I put in a CD-R in it, and Ubuntu sees the new drive in Computer, but when I right click an image file (iso) I have and tell it to write to disc. This is the...
