Multi-touch or no?
Can't say i'd want to be greeted by either of those when booting my computer, but someone has to do this for the lulz factor at least.
I, too, have Dropbox in my system tray with no issue. Where did you download/install it from?
This. I reviewed Opera Mobile on OMG! a while back (and on a Dell Duo, too) and it works so well. It would work even better if damn multi-touch was working.
I have a 32bit .deb of Opera Mobile 11...
Ace work my friend! Almost makes me regret blitzing Maverick off my Duo for 11.04 :P
I'm pretty sure I did, yeah. But I'll give it another go just to make sure.
Which drivers were these out of interest? I tried the ones @ http://home.eeti.com.tw/web20/eGalaxTouchDriver/linuxDriver.htm but they didn't do anything for multi-touch (at least for me).
Having just got a Dell Duo I was quite miffed to find that touch - let alone multi-touch - doesn't work out of the box.
Steps at the beginning do work in 11.04, however every now and again the...
Good find ;)
I really would've thought a press release (at least) would've slipped out of Canonical HQ given, as Computerworld say, it's already shipping on selected laptops.
Oh yeah that's a point - window picker should still be in the Ubuntu repos because of the 2D netbook version provided. Just search for 'window-picker' in Synaptic then add it to your gnome panel
...
Several; you could install the Window Picker applet that netbook edition used to use or Window Applets and Indicator-App menu together

There is a great binaural beat generator in the repo's - just saying.
I've used some i-doser "doses" for a while - mainly the coffee shot & the sleep ones and whether they facilitate a placebo...
Sad to see this cease - was a promising plugin :)
Transmission FTW, HBC.
I'll happily concede that the Ribbon was the result of a lot of research and UI studies and it is pretty darn intuitive to use from the few times i've had to poke the embers of MSOffice and recently...
;)
Y'know, I think the OP is right. Although OpenOffice is a fantastic open-source application it ain't half starting to stagnate in a pool of "this'll do".
Looking at the Ubuntu 10.04 desktop...
Awesome addition to the -look.org roster! Makes me want an Android phone even more >.<
And congrats on getting the admin duties!
I utterly love this thread title! I should've used it the original headline for the post =P
I'm utterly torn on wallpaper designs - like most i think Hardy and Intrepid were certainly the zenith...
As sad as it is - yes! No other OS i use feels as much like "home" as Ubuntu does. Ubuntu has shaped around me whereas i have to Shape around OS X or Windows (that's not to knock them for that, but...
Some of these are freaking awesome! It's a shame they can't all be used >.<
As i'm a sucker for polls, would any of the respective artists mind if i posted some of these on my blog and opened a...
+1
oh wait... i'm biased... :p
I find that that Ubuntu and GNOME Planets are often a better source of varied and thoughtful open-source news than a lot of "dedicated" open-source sites. I...
I brought this brainstorm up on my blog a while back - and pointed out why it would make a great 3rd party application but not an official inclusion as part of the install process.
Ubuntu aims for...
Feel free to ask me anything =)
Fankoo!
I hope you don't mind but i've posted the call for help on my blog.
