    Switching between sessions sometimes causes X to crash. the machine is totally frozen and i need to reboot.

    almost everything is commented out. did you have your computer cable-connected to the internet when you installed ubuntu?

    anyways, you'll need to open synaptic and enable default repo's.

    it's a bit more than propaganda. regarding ms windows / ms office it is nothing but stealing, because there is a good alternative: ubuntu
