  1. [ubuntu] Re: Just updated from 9.10 to 10.04 and have a few problems

I came across this thread while trying to find a solution for a similar card so I thought I'ld post what I found here.
    This did it for me:

    sudo aptitude install linux-firmware-nonfree

[ubuntu] Re: How to open .vsd file in Ubuntu 8.04

    Check the manual page:

    man vsdump

Seems like the right way to do it is:

    vsdump dump [filename]
And the correct (although unorthodox) way to get help is actually:

    vsdump help
  3. [ubuntu] Re: will firefox automatically update to the newer 3.5 version?

There's a small problem with Ubuntuzilla, if you're running a 64 machine it will still install a 32 version of Firefox.

[ubuntu] Re: How to open .vsd file in Ubuntu 8.04

That works as well. But, personally, I prefer to keep my contact with windows as minimal as possible when I have the choice. But I see why you would prefer the VM in your case since your "team"...

[ubuntu] Re: How to open .vsd file in Ubuntu 8.04

Weird enough, yesterday, I've been searching for a way to do that myself (except that I'm running 9.04).
Anyway, I didn't find a way to do that directly. Only workaround that I found was this:

I find it a good idea as well to backup your /etc/apt/sources.list file if you added some resources.

    Been there, done that.

Edit: I noticed that you edited. And I was just about to ask you to check if it works for you.

[ubuntu] Re: Getting the numpad to work as in windows

Thanks for answering, but it's not the fix for my problem.
Control+Shift+NumLock seems to make the numpad move the mouse pointer.

And I did read about DotGNU earlier but I found that it wasn't on...

[ubuntu] [Solved] Getting the numpad to work as in windows

This might seem a stupid thing to obsess with but it's annoying the hell out of me.

All I want is to get the numerical keypad to work as I'm used to it. On windows, if the numlock isn't on, using...

    Re: Funny Windoze Error Messages.

This is an actual error that I got while trying an old Win7 beta on a VM.
All I was trying to do was opening the device manager on a clean installation.

    Solved!

    No for both questions.
However my windows installation (Vista Ultimate) is 32bits.
And should I try using that parameter or are you just making sure that I'm not using it?

    Thanks for your help.
