It IS easier to get ALL kinds of hardware (for desktop users) working in windows. It's definitely not easier to install apps in windows UNLESS that's the only thing you've been doing for the last 20...
Yes but these users struggle with Windows also they would probably be better off with Ubuntu if it's pre-installed like their windows.
My thoughts of pidgin...
1. Is a really great app.. for what it's designed to do.
2. Is surrounded by too much hype.. they've been promising implementing voip and video support since 2005.. but...
I can't stand openbox at all because of the per desktop windowlist. Navigating through unnecessary menus feels stupid, unnecessary mouse movements, time consuming. Then again they may have fixed that...
That is a lot of text.
Hey!! It can be a bit tricky at first, but you'll get the hang of it. Nice to have you on board. Have fun!
Topic says desktop pics.. what's up with the 300 dpi are you planning on printing those.. into real desktop pics?
There is SVG available.. but PNGs seem to make them super users happy... Anyway...

I prefer E16 over E17. If the developers are wasting any time at least it's their time, wasted on their hobby. I don't like where they are going with E17, but it's their project and it's not finished...
Yes it's a shame nobody is taking engage any further when the enlightenment libraries are supposed to be sooooo powerful. Well here's an opportunity to demonstrate it. But one can't blame the E...
Desktop customization is personal preference. But if it makes you feel better.. go ahead.. knock yourself out.
I believe I said SMOOTH round corners. But it really doesn't matter since people are going to compiz-fusion it anyway.
Looking at details that theme appears to have it's window corners chopped off. So the following question would be.. is the default KDE4 window manager incapable of smooth rounded corners?
I have a question. How well does AWN compare with engage? I haven't used AWN but from the videos I've seen it looks slower and less responsive. Is there a dock for Linux that can beat engage in speed...
What do you mean don't know how to use it? Is that some kind of dreamweaver template or a mockup made by you? I'd say use CSS.
Most important post to whom? The way the OP formulated the question it was obviously nothing but flamebait to begin with.
And thereby putting their fanboyism to good use.
That may be true, but hardware is still a big issue. I did research before buying my hardware making sure it was 100% working on linux. Ubuntu hanged on first boot after install. Nothing I couldn't...
:lolflag:
Sabayon? isn't that an overlay-mess gentoo derivative distro? Anyway KDE always felt more responsive than GNOME on my comps, especially the beta. Unfortunately speed doesn't make it look any better...

I'm not so sure about not expecting that. There's hidden bias, power structures and especially trigger happiness everywhere.. but yes it is a problem when it comes to wikipedia.. even respected news...
isn't this a problem almost everywhere on the net?
Agreed. No doubt it's a great window manager.. just read some peoples posts about it on other forums and couldn't resist making a joke about it.
