I was going through the docs for uTorrent Server for Linux and found this way down at the bottom:

  2. [ubuntu] Re: torrent client that will set file location but not move anything

uTorrent for Linux doesn't seem to be working for me...

I'm getting an infinite loading screen when I go to localhost:8080/gui. After doing some research I found this is a JavaScript issue so I...
  3. [ubuntu] Re: torrent client that will set file location but not move anything

Thanks haqking, I'll try out the Linux version of uTorrent but as it's alpha it may be too unstable so I'll keep this thread open for other suggestions. I have no issues with CLI; in fact, I prefer...

Hi, I'm looking for a torrent client that will allow me to set the location of individual files within a torrent as well as the torrent itself but not actually move anything. Specifically, I need a...

How do I dereference a hard link? I know I can use stat to show the number of hard links for a given file but I would to be able to see a list of files that are hard linked to the same data. If there...

  10. [ubuntu] Re: How do I run a SMART self test from the command line?

I checked the man page for smartctl and there is no mention of USB device type. Perhaps I need a different version? I'm currently using version 5.38.
  11. [ubuntu] Re: How do I run a SMART self test from the command line?

  12. [ubuntu] Re: How do I run a SMART self test from the command line?

I installed smartmontools and ran "sudo smartctl -i /dev/sdd" and it returned with "Device does not support SMART" which I know is wrong because I can get SMART data from Disk Utility for /dev/sdd....
  13. [ubuntu] Re: How do I run a SMART self test from the command line?

Thanks Chris. I started looking at smartmontools too and I'm a bit concerned that it may conflict with udisks. I'll give it a shot though and see what happens.

    Thanks again for your help
  14. [ubuntu] Re: How do I run a SMART self test from the command line?

Thanks Chris, however I'd like to do more than just a scan for bad sectors/blocks on the disk. What I'm looking for is a way to access the SMART data in the hard drive and trigger the drive's...
  15. [ubuntu] How do I run a SMART self test from the command line?

I need to run a self-test on my external USB drive and don't want to use System -> Disk Utility.

I've taken a look at the man page for udisks and curiously, there does not appear to be an option...
