    Re: having trouble with gtk2-perl and cairo

    This works:
    $cr->set_operator ('source');

    I'm sure it's equivalent to "cairo_set_operator (cr, CAIRO_OPERATOR_SOURCE);"

    Re: having trouble with gtk2-perl and cairo

    I'm not familiar with operators, but there's a couple operator functions shown here:

    http://cpan.uwinnipeg.ca/htdocs/Cairo/Cairo.html#cr_gt_set_operator_op

    It looks like it takes arguments such...

    Re: Perl Gtk2 Radio Button assistance

    Radio buttons inherit from checkbuttons, togglebuttons, etc., so you sometimes have to look there for methods and signals.

    #!/usr/bin/perl
    use Glib qw/TRUE FALSE/;
    use Gtk2 '-init';

    Sure I hack. I crack too. Just today I hacked into about 15 logs. Pretty much cracked my axe in the process.

    do this:

    qemu -cdrom disk.img

    I was able to boot an ubuntu cd this way.

    Re: Perl+SDL+OpenGL instead of (C/C++)+SDL+OpenGL

    They are both about the same in terms of running speed, since printing to the console would be the bottleneck.

    I don't see any need to argue about specific languages. I bet know how much faster it...

    Re: Perl+SDL+OpenGL instead of (C/C++)+SDL+OpenGL

    As far as I know, there aren't any existing perl-opengl games. The only Perl-SDL game that I know about is Frozen Bubble (not counting the one I'm just starting!).

    the SDL-Perl cpan thing has a...

    Re: Development Code Names

    I've got a few ideas:

    Ubuntu 7.10, the Squishy Fishy!
    Ubuntu 8.04, Willy the Wombat!
    Ubuntu 8.10, the Patent-preventing Parakeet!
    Ubuntu 9.04, the Jumpin' Janitor!

    Re: FF2 Open-sourced

    Neato!

    Not clear what kind of game it is, though. By looking at your site, it looks like it's resource-intensive. Will it run on a middle-aged laptop?

    (I'm not volunteering to package it.)
