    Cursor Locked On Boot-Up

    When boot-up process is complete the cursor is "locked". I have to unplug the mouse and plug it back-in. It then works correctly.

    Initially this problem started with the upgrade to Ubuntu 12.10....

    Good point, they were owned by "root". I went ahead and corrected the ownership.
    I experimented by toggling between "lightdm" and "gdm", still had the same problem.
