    [ubuntu] Re: Sony VAIO

[all variants] Re: Laptop heat/fan workaround

Hmmm.. just tried this (my laptop just recently started doing this - a few days ago the fan worked just fine) and it doesn't seem to be helping. Oh well, I suppose I'm going to go clean the fan again...

  4. Re: Is it just me? - I don't want ubuntu to look like Vista or an iMac.

I agree, to some extent. I have to say, though, both do have their own features that I like. I like the look of the window borders on Vista (for the most part) and the look of panels on OSX.

    Don't...
  5. Poll: Re: What do you do to spread the word about Ubuntu

Same. I don't bring Ubuntu up unless someone's asking for alternatives to Windows or asks me about Linux distros.

  9. Re: Anybody get there Ubuntu computer or Ubuntu Keyboard from ZaReason?

As would I. I'm contemplating a Limbo 2440, but up until today I'd never heard of ZaReason or any of their products - so I'd like very much to hear some testimonials of people that have bought from...

    Re: I should've bought a Thinkpad.

Ooohhh.. it's quite a good deal. I wish it was there when I bought my laptop; spent $537 on a used laptop that's given me a fair bit of trouble.

Re: The Colossal Lego Ubuntu Computer Case Project

I'm interested in seeing how the removable side panel works. How, though, is physical security for the case? I suppose what I'm trying to say is - what's keeping the case together? If it takes a bad...
