    Memory serving me this is caused by not having glibc-headers installed. Im not sure if the metapackages for libc-dev and ia32-libs installs this, so I could be wrong.

    11gR2 runs ok on Debian...

    Sadly the application is known for that. With the old 1.3.x versioning there was a horrible xorg memory leak. They may or may not have ever fixed that.

    Your going to have to do a cross ldap / active directory like setup. It wont work terribly well either. This may be a bigger headache than a blessing. Its best to just use native ldap solutions...

    You should invoke java as yourself, not as root or sudo'ed root.

    Why are you running ANYTHING as root.

    This is a primary no no.

    The error message tells you the problem (/root/.minecraft/lastlogin doesnt exist, ergo it cant find it).

    But mores the pity,...
