After a recent Linux update i somehow managed to remove the Top Panel from the desktop . Hence , no date , time , access to saved data , etc . Anyway to restore the top panel ?

Thanks dude... tried your suggestion and got some funky directions from termnal window . Had to use package manager and install dconf - tools . That did the trick .

Have loge out and back in after terminal commands . Log in screen does not give the option for classic . Any chance issue could be related to how user accounts are set up ? I am root .

Right click , delete in bookmark solved . Had to display via All Bookmarks in order to delete . That doesn't help those with the issue elsewhere though...
