Hi all,
I have run into a problem with Software Center where I get a message saying "Items cannot be installed or removed until the package catalogue is repaired". I click on the repair button...
Everything I've tried works temporarily at best. In the end I gave up and learnt to use it the "normal" non-mac way.
:-(
Can anyone help with this keymapping issue?
Does anyone know what to do about this error?
Anyone?
I just tried running the script and got this error:
$ sudo ./fresh.sh
[: 15: Illegal number:
./fresh.sh: 60: Syntax error: "fi" unexpected (expecting "then")
Sorry
Thanks for replying but that link is from 2008 and I don't think the instructions work anymore. Also I'd still like there to be an option in the keyboard layouts for switching these keys. After all...
Hi,
I'm asking here because I don't know who to contact.
I am using Ubuntu 10.04 on my Macbook Pro 3,1. I would like it if there was an option in Preferences > Keyboard > Layouts > Options...
Why are there no digital clock themes? An analog clock theme could probably be created that actually shows a digital clock image... I don't understand why everyone wants analog and no one wants...
I have a Macbook Pro 3,1 and installed Ubuntu 10.04. I tried using your instructions to switch the command and ctrl keys around. I put this in a script:
------------
#!/bin/sh
xmodmap -e "keycode...
Maybe this is the wrong place to ask about this. If there is a better place for me to post this question, please let me know.
I have a Macbook Pro 3,1. I have been running Ubuntu 9.10...
Getting the same error on my Macbook Pro 3,1 when running Ubuntu 10.04. I want the ctrl key mapped to the Command/Win/Apple key and vice versa so that I have the same behaviour as I have in Mac OS....
I agree completely. Can someone start a wiki page dedicated to tablets? It would be great to see all of the info organised a little better. Perhaps it could be like this wiki for Ubuntu on Macs.

As soon as I have a chance to backup my data, I'm gonna do a clean install of Lucid on my Macbook Pro 3,1 and give this script a try. It looks like it does a lot of the stuff I normally spend ages...
I have a Wacom Bamboo Fun P&T and Karmic Koala. I followed the instructions in the first post but when I got up to this part:
I don't see anything about wacom in the resulting output of either...
I have a Wacom Baboo P&T and tried the steps in post 144. Everything seems okay up to copying the wacom.ko file from src/2.6.28. Copying the file doesn't work because there is no .ko file in that...
Yeah I did that already. It worked fine which is why I assumed it was isolated to the Aussie server. I figured whoever maintains it would want to know.
Ah okay then. I won't worry about it....
I installed Karmic yesterday and was not receiving updates. I found that it was a problem with the Australian mirror. How do I inform whoever it is I need to inform that there is a problem?
