You could also install qgrubed, great for editing you boot list. You can choose your default os and take unwanted kernel boot options. Just install it from synaptic, or sudo apt-get install qgrubed....

I dual boot ubuntu 7.10 with Windows XP on two separate sata drives. My XP drive is mounted on boot. WoW is installed on the windows XP drive, so I just run it with wine straight out of windows...

You can download the 2.5 version for linux, it's only about 700mb...
