Hey all, I'm trying to host an application for a friend of mine. It was built in ICEfaces via Netbeans on Windows 7, and is published in *.xhtml format, but I have no idea what I need to configure to...
Hi all, I'll be brief
I have a user called phoenix, with the home folder /home/phoenix
I'd like to set a subfolder in his account, /home/phoenix/ftp, and give anonymous, read-only access to it,...
Cool, thanks, just needed -o sweet :D
Hi all, I want to create a simple script to check if file a OR file b exists.
I know that the following will check for file a, but how would I add file b to the mix?

Doh, here it is:
The touchpad works fine in 2.6.28-11 & 2.6.28-13 on the new xorg driver, so I know it's a kernel issue. The touchpad doesn't appear on the new kernel if I do lsmod, so I guess I set a high level...
Please help, I'm at my wits end here. I re-compiled my kernel to take advantage of kernel-mode setting for Intel cards, as GPU performance in Jaunty has been, tbh, crap. But in doing so, I managed to...
@67GTA,
Would you mind looking at mine as well? Been driving me crazy trying to find info on the warnings I have
Output:

Hi all, I have a little problem. I compiled a custom kernel (2.6.30) to include the KMS fixs for my Intel GPU, but I've lost touchpad functionality. In 2.6.28-13, my touchpad works and is mapped to...
I've already stripped down my kernel to the bare minimum lol, just wanted to time how long it takes, time seems to do the job, as I only need a rough time. Thanks to everyone for your help :)
Hey all, I've been compiling a custom kernel, and have had to re-compile a few times, and I was wondering if there was a way to count how long it takes to compile and output it either via a shell...
I don't think it's a conky problem, because I did get it to go away by setting any -conky in the Shadow windows area in the Window Decorations plugin in compiz. but that turns off ALL shadows, which...
It doesn't make any difference whether that line is commented or not. The only changes from default on the Window decorations plugin are the ones I used from this guide to put a terminal on the...
Renamed it to conkyrc.txt and attached it
No joy, it's still shadowing it. I can export my Compiz-Fusion config and attach it and my conky config it that helps?
Hey, I need some help, Compiz-Fusion is putting an odd box around conky.
This post kinda helped, but it disabled shadows on everything, I want to keep shadows on most windows, I just want to disable...
Sweet. I'm looking into Grub4DOS (becuase I can use it to chainload XP setup) which is part of a program called WinSetupForUSB. Might see if using Grub4Dos might help me out some, as I think it...
Any chance of a guide on using Syslinux to do just that? *hint hint* lol
I can answer that possibly lol. My disc is a GUID partitioned disc with a hybrid GPT+MBR partition table (it's for booting Macs and PC's, hence the need for Chameleon). My disc's main boot code is b...
I have a feeling I can explain that for you clay. Partitions 2 and 3 are primary, right? and 5+ are in an extended partition?
I think that becuase your Ubuntu CD is in an extended partition, it...
I found the problem. See, my bootloader is on /dev/sdb2 (active) and Ubuntu is on /dev/sdb3. If I set /dev/sdb3 active, my bootloader doesn't load, instead it loads straight into the ubuntu install....
