Yep it still didn't work!
Press f6 when it's loading then press f6 again and say acpi=off I had the same problem with the same OS and and same pc and am now a happy dual-booter!

Do you mean you want to copy out your recovery partition? If so, you can do this using linux boot cds such as Clonezilla, Gparted or Parted Magic, all of which use the tool partimage in one way or...

Ok, thanks a lot........ I'll try that AFTER I GET WINDOWS Working it had nothing to do with Ubuntu it just crashed after update. The thing is when I restore and rewrite all partitions it goes back...

Is there a tool to copy my ISO of windows 7 just in case? I want to install Ubuntu and have but failed several times! Lucklily my recovery options were still there but I want to be sure.

. Insert your USB (1GB+ preferable) stick to the system and backup all the data from the USB as we are going to format the USB to make it as bootable.

Well I started a new thread becuase no one was anwering it! I waited several hours and knew that starting a new thread would be faster. Sorry. I'm going to restore back to defults without ubuntu......
