Well I found the solution and got the 14.04 to boot. Typed this in the Terminal and bobs your uncle. As well as I did not loose a thing as in data! !

I have been trying to launch <Magicq> in the terminal ! and I get this

It was indeed an upgrade from 12.04 LTS
