I'm running IDLE on Ubuntu 8.04, I install it with

sudo apt-get install idle
Python version is 2.5.2
IDLE version is 1.2.2

All works fine except function invoking.

Actually, there is sound coming out from the headphone if you plug the headphone out a little bit, it's very sensitive.

Don't know how to fix it.

Found the reason, the /opt/autodesk/maya2008/bin/maya executable was missing.

A simply 'sudo ln -s /opt/autodesk/maya2008/bin/Maya2008 /opt/autodesk/maya2008/bin/maya' fixed it.
