if using ubuntu go into add remove programs and search for GTKrecordmydesktop i did and it works usefull for doing ubuntu vids on aspire one

ive never found a screen recorder for linux thanks for saying one i found a open source one for windows but never linux

vista doesnt work unless you use samba 2 i think but the linux machines should work

if you have a older ubuntu try installing that then upgrading ive only done a opensuse install on external hdd try removing internal (if on a desktop)

simple use the alternate iso it is ubuntu cut down for old machines i had to use it on my old one

ctrl shift v or c works for me

i would jst half ext3 half ntfs i had to as my pc's wouldnt write to ntfs so i had to dual partition cos my windows cant recognise ext3(well kinda obvious)

it could be swap i think i have about a gig of swap i never actualy checked
