    It was a stock install of 10.10 when i started and don't recall adding a gfx driver specifically. The problem only occured when I went from 11.10 to 12.04.
    Which is the same time frame they moved...

    I have a feeling that it's going to be via usb boot disk or cd with the version you want to install, As natty is now considered...
