  2. Re: Howto create chrooted Openssh SFTP without shell access through rssh.

I'm hoping someone can help me; it's probably a stupid mistake, but I get a "Permission denied" error when I try to log in. :( Here's the output:

    Re: Internet Addiction Test (IAT)

I got a score of 41. It probably should have been higher, as I'm online often, but I don't see it as a problem. Most of the time I spend online is for learning new things (I visit Wikipedia daily) or...

    Re: Share your musical discoveries!

    Here's a pretty cool album I discovered - http://www.lunarmusic.net/

The entire album is free to download. It's sort of a mix between orchestral and electronic.

Re: How do you tell people you use linux?

I don't just randomly inform others that I use Linux, but I'll tell them if it comes up. For example, if somebody sees my computer and notices that the desktop environment looks different, I'll...

Re: Join the Great Dvorak Migration!

I'm proud to say that I've finally reached my old typing speed with the Dvorak layout without switching the Qwerty keys around! My advice to everybody starting out is:

    1) Don't bother switching...

Re: Post your .conkyrc files w/ screenshots

    My conky has:

    Date and Time
    CPU, RAM, and SWAP usage
    Top Processes
    Partition Usage
    Network Up/Down Speed
    Amarok "Now Playing" Info

and it works perfectly in KDE/Beryl.
  9. Re: [KDE-HOWTO] Load Beryl/Compiz as part of desktop (not session)

Thanks for this how-to, you have no idea how many problems this fixed for me. For those of us who still want beryl-manager to start, do:

    kate ~/.kde/Autostart/BerylManagerSafe.desktop

    Then...

Poll: Re: The Seven Tools that Linux Needs to Have A Chance on the Desktop

Have you tried Kopete? It's a great IM client, and better than Pidgin and Trillian by far IMO. Plus it has an excellent interface and comes with a bunch of useful plugins that add additional...

Konqueror is my favorite browser. Unless you use some really obscure firefox extensions, Konqueror can do just about everything firefox can, like tabbed browsing, ad blocking, and mouse gestures. It...

Re: Join the Great Dvorak Migration!

My dvorak typing speed is now 40wpm, and I'm making fewer mistakes. I'd probably be a bit faster if I wasn't still using the dvorak layout on a qwerty keyboard, but I'm getting the hang of it....

Re: Join the Great Dvorak Migration!

Well, I've been using Dvorak for two weeks now, and I'm at 33wpm. It definitely feels more comfortable typing. I'm at half my old qwerty speed, hopefully I get there in a couple weeks. :)

Re: Join the Great Dvorak Migration!

  19. Re: tell me cool things i don't know about konqueror

Re: change to root in dolphin, or konqueror?

  24. Re: How do you manage your accounts info? Logins/Passwords?

I use pwgen (it's in the repositories) to generate secure passwords, and KWallet to keep them safe and remember them. I also have my passwords in a gpg-encrypted KSpread document.
