post your wtf config file from WoW directory.
You can receive voice chat but you can not transmit. http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=1554Hope this helps
Winehq shows it does not work, maybe in the future :) Here is the link http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=7904&iTestingId=11755
Try this guide http://www.wowwiki.com/Linux/Wine good luck
Did you try changing the resolution from the WoW WTF config file?
Could be drivers, do you have an ATI card?
I can get TF2 to run with -dxlevel 81 performance is playable, but I have no issues launching etc.
you have to open WoW to the patch session, before you hit play look in system monitor and you should see Winserver.exe
open up your system monitor in admin tools, change winserver priority to -15 that should help.
I could not tell ya how that card would run, wish I could. Your best bet would be just to install WoW and see for your self.
Yes it runs well for me. I have almost everything turned up my res is set above 1024x768, I cant remember exactly...I am at work. but I average between 50-80fps. my specs are 8600gt, AMDx2 2.8GHZ 2GB...
I have the same problem with steam games, and I have the same video card.
I'm 23, I use Ubuntu for games, email, open office, and multimedia :)
I have it on, and never really noticed a hit on FPS.
We need more info. What game, what version of wine, system specs....etc give more info and you might get an answer.
What kind of video card do you have? I have a 8600GT and WoW runs great. I average about 60-100fps with almost everything turned up.
Woot thank you!
The system monitor.
nice?
I have Wine run at priority -10. But it's getting anoying everytime I start Wine I have to change the Priority. Is there a way to keep the priority at -10?
I agree it does depend on the game. When I play WoW on Linux I can not tell difference between me running it on Windows or running it Wine.
No I did not get that problem as well. I could get TF2 to install but it ran with poor FPS.
Wine does rock. I use to pay for cedega to play WoW. Now I just use Wine and to be honest I can not tell difference between playing on windows and playing with wine.
Sorry thought you were going to upgrade then try.
