In your first two examples, you left out a space. There should be a space between the name of the editor and the beginning of the path to the file.

OK, we now know that Ubuntu is installed on sda8. You need to make sure that there is nothing useful on sda2, sda6, or sda7. You can do that by mounting each one and checking what is on them.
