You could restart your wireless driver instead of rebooting. Something like
$ sudo modprobe wl

The same problem was with my old dell laptop... It seems to be not solved yet...
You can use my script ;)
It enables 2 finger scrolling, 2 finger tap, smooth movements, etc.
I had the same problem. Resolved in service center by screen replacing.
I have BIOS v. 1.27. The steps I followed are ordinary ones. Simple install and nothing else. I think U should try install it to another usb flash drive. I had no problems with transcend 4GB
You should use compatible with BIOS usb flash drive. For example, I didn't succeeded with Kingston 8 GB Datatraveller II but had no problems with Transcend 2 GB. Good luck ;)

The easiest way worked for me:
Add Java PPA https://launchpad.net/~voronov84/+archive/andreyv
Update your packages through Update manager or somehow else
sudo ln -s...
Hi.
I wonder if someone tried 2.6.33 kernel on Acer 3810t? Did it solve the suspend problem or it still remains? Tnx
That's pretty right!
In my case I've got only 1 file (rastertoz600) not owned but root, so I used 2 commands in terminal:
cd /usr/lib/cups/filter
sudo chown root rastertoz600

There is no need to add libata.force=noncq to kernel command line for normal booting with AHCI mode!
It seems to be the latest linux 2.6.32-rc6 kernel supports NCQ mode for Acer 3810T...

But what do you expect from link when it's description says AUTO UPDATE. Not an Uninstall. But UPDATE. Maybe you should go by link and try to find out what it's all about...
WTF? Link leads to Alsa Update Script forum page!!! Read carefully
I'm sorry. The Multimedia System Selector is the second name of gnome-media package (you can find it in synaptic or software center as pre-installed).
So, you can make it visible in Gnome Menu...
After you checked that script SUCCESSFULLY installed latest drivers (alsactl -v command should give you 1.0.21) you should install Multimedia System Selector where choose ALSA for Audio->Default...
Amarok won't play (you'll hear no sound) on Ubuntu without xine1-ffmpeg library installed
It could be simply installed from synaptic ;)
