    modprobe -r iwlagn
    modprobe -r iwlcore
    modprobe iwlcore
    modprobe iwlagn

    You could restart your wireless driver instead of rebooting. Something like
    $ sudo modprobe wl
    but I'm not sure.

    The same problem was with my old dell laptop... It seems to be not solved yet...

    I have BIOS v. 1.27. The steps I followed are ordinary ones. Simple install and nothing else. I think U should try install it to another usb flash drive. I had no problems with transcend 4GB

    You should use compatible with BIOS usb flash drive. For example, I didn't succeeded with Kingston 8 GB Datatraveller II but had no problems with Transcend 2 GB. Good luck ;)

    Yeap, it's understood. BUT!

    Battery capacity decreasing started right after using Ubuntu. It APPEARED 3 times in a row when I worked on Ubuntu (during 2 days I had 3 discharging/charging cycles)....

    I'm afraid but Ubuntu Linux kills my battery and this is fact :( 0,5 mW capacity reducing each time I use all battery till automatic shutdown. Crap!

    I had this problem. For me it means problem with hardware what solves by battery replacement (had no problems with my guarantee, just must wait about 2 weeks in Ukraine)

    It seems to be the latest linux 2.6.32-rc6 kernel supports NCQ mode for Acer 3810T...
