Re: Windows 8, and people moaned about Unity

This is not disputed then. May I suggest the next version of Start Screen to enhance support for "legacy apps" to allow something like Program Folders to appear, to automatically group similar...

Re: Windows 8, and people moaned about Unity

Re: Windows 8, and people moaned about Unity

Sorry my mistake, haven't personally tried XFCE but got the idea from the PCBSD Handbook which advised users who found KDE and Gnome too heavy to turn to XFCE instead. No offences intended.

  13. Re: Is the release of Win8 going to help or hinder MS?

Yea total breakages will definitely occur when there's a major kernel upgrade, like from XP (5.1) to Vista (6.0). Many developers and manufacturers just do not have enough incentives to backport the...

Re: Windows 7 was the best version so far

I have to admit that I've never been tempted to try out those Win Store Apps yet nor had I linked my Win8 account to my outlook.com account.

I'm just using it like Ubuntu or Win Vista: that is...

Take the offer and upgrade to Windows 8 before 13 Jan 2013.

The support life cycle for XP SP3 is over soon anyway.
