Hy, not shure if I posted it under the right category but here we are.
So, from Ubuntu webpage we can read following:
"Ubuntu tablet hardware requirements
I've solved the problem by using windows for my work laptop. If you're into PLC's then sooner or later your going to be in a industrial environment or at a building site and when that happens -...
I'll move myself over to general then - but big thanks to You! I can now at least use my computer.
So, did reinstall and the problems are still here. Update manager changed to software updater and now when hanging (stops working but doesn't believe itself to be crashed) doesn't give any errors.
As said it in the first post, synaptic is the only thing that seems to work quite perfectly in this computer. But what really get's me confused is that both updater and software center stopped...
Updater alone. Might have something to do with software center not doing anything when I click install (but still making the button inactive). It's total mystery for me that came with whole network...
Thank You my sir! I was away for a few days dealing with the Estonian local WorldSkills 2013 and where I used their computers. Coming back home everything seems to be just fine, even transmissin is...
55 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to be deleted and 2 not upgraded.
Guess it works?
Activated routers firewall (ISP put up the router - interesting guys as I've seen it so far).
Found it and made all necessary changes but still shows port closed (allows some connection and then closes them). Firewall is not active in router. I'll try to handle it.
Thing that I can't...
Transmission says the port is closed. How can I check what ports are open or how to open a port for transmission?
Thank you for your help thus far! (I'm still making animal noises trying to...

Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
The following packages have been kept back:
On update no but on apt-get install says just ... 36 not upgraded
apt-get upgrade though worked just fine.
Now it seems like the transmission kills connections a lot faster - within 10 seconds into downloading.
It's done, and got my wireless back. Still doesn't update the system.
It's going to take a little time as now I can't connect to the wireless network with any computer in my house ( I've changed all the settings in computers too - encryption and key type and such).
Let me guess - broadcom is not the best network hardware around?
Here they are!
Hy, my problem in general is about network almost working.
I'm using 12.10 ubuntu (installed on a new HDD after using 12.04 wich didn't work too well) on Dell Latitude D620.
All problems start...
I've tried to restore my ext4 format on my HDD for a few days now. The problem is when I enter to the testdisk, it says my ntfs (old windows stuff and movies) filesystem doesn't have an endpoint....
Managed to find filesystems (thank god for testdisk) and write new tables. Now everything is back to normal.
Big thanks to everyone who helped!
Thank you alot!
I used HDD that I stole from my old laptop but deleted everything (including tables). Wich I didn\t know was that I have to make the format table first.
My purpose is to copy...
The problem is I can\t even mount the disk (as far as gparted is concerned).
Following goes for the disk in question
Thank you for reply!
PS! Right now running testdisk analyzer for ntfs...
