Just fixed by going to Update Manager>Settings>Updates Tab>Notify me of new Version... Set to Any New Version. Mine, for some reason, was set to LTS Only...
Right after I changed that Update...
My system is not finding the update yet either. Tried doing the terminal codes as well as through update manager. Could it be as simple as it's just not officially out yet?
Thanks everyone for the replies. There must be a reason for the "AMD" in the 64bit description. They should just leave the trade names out of it so as to not confuse the average Joe. Could just say,...
So, I'm sure I already know the answer to this question...
The 64bit version says it's for AMD64. No where does it say intel. I'm running a CORE i7... The 64bit Ubu will still work right? If so,...
This is what I did to set up a Brother MFC-7360N to print over network connection. (Printer is hardwired to my wifi router).

Hello,
So I have an EVO and am trying to learn how to use adb. What I'm trying to do is push a new bootanimation.zip to it. I have already downloaded the android.sdk and am wondering what to do...
Has anyone done a dual boot with Ubuntu and Chrome OS?
I want to do this but don't want to screw up GRUB. Should I first do a clean Chrome OS install, then Ubuntu so GRUB will take over as the...
I've noticed that there is no option to set software sources anymore in 10.10?? Or, is it hidden somewhere?
Me too. Just had this problem. I'm trying to burn some cd's to put on my 5th gen ipod and I need to do it in .mp3...
Rhythmbox doesn't show .mp3 as an option. It does show it when I click edit but...
Yes, I have done that... Still, just a blinking cursor and a flash of the stock Ubuntu 10.10 screen low res.

Confirmed 1920x1200 does not work for me. The best I can do is 800x600x32 direct whatever that means... Why?
Ok, been playin around with it and tried adding my "screen" resolution... to no avail. then went into real GRUB and looked at vbeinfo and the highest resolution i could see was 800x600. Is this as...
I'll just leave it, if its that hard... That guide doesn't seem very sure about what they are doing... Thanks though.

Funny, I just posted a new thread about why the splash screen is now low resolution. Upon first install it was nice and clear and crisp. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with enabling the...
Hello, I've been using Ubuntu for years now and love it. I'm wondering on start-up of my machine, the purple Ubuntu splash screen I see, as well as the blinking cursor before the screen, are now at a...

why is there a difference in doing a fresh install?
I have the same problem... Video's that are on my computer are purple and green and blue.
When I play a video that I have stored on my comp. the color is weird greens and blues. Almost like it's a negative. I'm using "Movie Player" (Totem Movie Player 2.30.2).
P.S. I don't know if...
With Ubuntu, do I need to worry about all the spyware, worms, and other crap that I would have to worry about with Windows?
