This is going to be great, the people behind it are true rpgers, but they are taking the Slackware approach: "it'll be ready when it's ready".
I'm not sure about the linux client, though.
I'm pretty happy with Dominions 3 and Eschalon Book 1, but they're commercial games (both linux native, BTW).
If you're looking for free games, Battle for Wesnoth is the way to go.
