    I'm getting this as well.

It's not the ISP, or the router.

I dualboot - in windows, Firefox / Opera work as expected. In Linux, all of the errors in the OP are present.

Poll: Re: What do you think of the new GRUB?

    Hate it.

It seems especially bad on dual-boot machines - it appears to routinely *corrupt* the windows MBR, rendering it unfixable, even from a Windows Installation CD, using the -fixmbr- option...

I'm finding this problem on a brand new install as well, so you are not alone in this.

Running through Google, I've found that there is an open Lunchpad bug, but no resolution as yet. Some people...

    Re: Worlds Most Weirdest Animals

    The Australian Platypus.

    It is an egg-laying, venomous, duck-billed, beaver-tailed, otter-footed semi-aquatic mammal.

How many mammals do you know that lag eggs and are venomous? hmm?

Re: What are your views on Windows 7?

Assuming relatively modern hardware, in my opinion, Win7 looks to be one of the better operating systems that Microsoft have released. It's what Vista should have been.
  9. Re: How to you find the forum admins? Good or iresponsible. Please reply!

I'd post this in the resolution centre if you have a particular complaint.

Poll: Re: Do you show or hide your post count?

    I hide it.

I would prefer that whatever I write here be taken at their value, rather than having (or not having as the case may be) a perceived weighting or bias by virtue of a higher postcount.

    Well, put it this way.

    The computer is his.

The electricity to power it is not. The parents pay for that service.

Sure, he can keep the computer. But he can't power it on.

Of course there is. You think that corporate logos come into the world without any paperwork?
