I think as long as it installs and you can boot to it you will be fine. You might have some small problems getting it to install though. Your windows partion will be fine so it's worth a try.

Ok, I downloaded the whole thing but the install failed because of a read error. Guessing that has nothing to do with Wubi it was just back luck.

Trying to install again.

I installing it now, it saying its going to take over 60 hours which is crazy. Although I'm guessing the servers are taking a pounding.

Would it be possible to make Wubi run in the 'system tray'...

Thanks, for that it helped but I still need to change the Wine Desktop size cause it is tiny.

I've been stupid and set the default wine text way too large and then made the window area tiny.

What file can I edit to manually change these back to something a tad more sensible.
