    I am not sure how to specify this on an existing install (possibly here: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BootOptions) but booting with "noapic" (disabling APIC) may help.

    If someone can explain why: all I did was log in to each user account (su'd from my own) and made the following addition to the [global] section of smb.conf: follow symlinks...

    There is a single-player campaign in v2.0.

    Also, the game runs at ~90fps on my 6800GT with everything on high/full (except with bloom disabled) in 1024x768 (x86-64 version).
