I found the answer. Install GNOME ALAS Mixer. Open it, and at the very end there should be a speaker that is muted. This is headphones. Unmute it, and headphones should work!
I think the problem is it's just not allowing me to select a alternate input. It just has internal speakers. Is anyone else having this problem? Does anyone know how to fix it?
I've tried changing headphones, adjusting sound volumes, changing audio hardware profile, and it doesn't recognize the headphones as another input.
