I found it, just boot on the Ubuntu live cd, change to root
then run
Me too, I reinstalled it twice because of this error, and I have no intention to do it again if this continue!!

Actually I did so, but it didn't work.
What worked for me is that I installed the Simple CompizConfig Settings Manager and changed the profile from Default to Advanced and it worked!! :)
Well it's kinda work, but the theme is not really a good one, can't I just restore the borders back with the current (default) theme?
