    It was suggested to me (I cannot remember from where or from whom) that if I wanted shadows for all windows but Conky to change that setting to: any -conky. That worked for me.

    I had a similar issue.
    It has to do with a combination of the width of your Conky window and the amount of space you allow for the forecast (--spaces=19).

    It is because of Compiz settings...

    Go to CompizConfig settings manager, then to Windows Decoration and under shadow windows type any -conky. That will keep shadows for windows with the exception...
