Eth0 connection is erratic and of late not working. works from windows and so hardware issues. Belkin N150 router modem.

tried to install ibex through hard disc installer.
it fails to read the partitions and identify the iso to install.
it jumps to partition manager and presents no partitions to choose.
i go back...

installed ubuntu ibex. also kubuntu desktop. 64 bit.
there was a powercut and the ups gave out and so the shutdown was not smooth.
now it fails to boot; error msg:
starting up
0.1270711 acpi;...

installed this script for feisty and it worked ok with no problems

the problem is that it has so many addresses and wants you to specify which.
you try your own country and so many files are missing from the repository, perhaps because they are not updated....

what is the url to give to download rest of the files in the jigdo method?

succeeded with ubuntu alternate amd x86 though it broke the mbr and i had to struggle to get it again. i should have said no for installation of grub and edited the existing grub.
anyway it works!...
