    OK, I typed "crontab -e" in the terminal and displayed all the scheduled tasks I have... which I didn't realise.

    I am having a similar problem - installed gnome-schedule, uninstalled, reinstalled etc etc but no GUI displays..terminal shows similar messages:

    Have played around a bit more and found that only certain images will display..

    Are there any parameters (pixels, ratios, file name etc) that are required for this to work?

    This step doesn't work for me :(

    For some reason only the second (of five) workspaces shows the designated wallpaper using this method, the remaining four all show white backgrounds.
