    Hi Ninjip can you open a terminal window and type lshw -C network
    This will tell us what type of card is in your machine so we can try to solve your problem

    So you are trying to connect through your friends PC ""AD-HOC"" I think that with samba you can only share his files you cannot connect to the net..You would probably have to use SSH with a tunnel.

    Yes there is a much easy way..clear all those settings so they are blank and tick the allow roaming checkbox and close it..Now open a terminal and type nm-applet when you do this 2 small tv's will...
