[kubuntu] Re: Explanation For Failed Grub Installation

The partition itself is fine, it mounts perfectly and fsck.ext4 reports that it is clean. There aren't any options for fastboot or AHCI in the BIOS so I can't toggle those.

    By installing grub...

[kubuntu] Re: Explanation For Failed Grub Installation

Thanks for the info. I'd rather not have to install Windows again considering that I just did it about two weeks ago :-/ if it comes down to it I'll use that Live CD that you mentioned.

[kubuntu] Re: Explanation For Failed Grub Installation

[kubuntu] Re: Explanation For Failed Grub Installation

I had the thought to allocate 50 GB for Kubtuntu when I had reinstalled Windows 7 a week or two ago, so the error wasn't caused by shrinking the partition. Maybe Partition Editor screwed up, I'll...

[other] Re: rEFIt Wont Boot Windows/Ubuntu

I've looked through there too, and it didn't seem to provide much help. There's very little configuration that can be done with the config file and to install it all you do is drop it in a folder.

[other] Re: rEFIt Wont Boot Windows/Ubuntu
