    (had deactivated the menu bar to make the terminal more compact, and for some reasons the keyboard shortcuts setting cannot be accessed through context or profile...

    Awww, that is weird. Or so it seems from the perspective of an gnome-gui user.
    Are there any other terminal emulators that have commandlines that behave more in the way of an GUI input text box?

    I just upgraded to intrepid and found a new interface in my ifconfig.

    wmaster0 to be exact.
    Its specifications look pretty much like unspecified garbage...

    @james: Thanks :) but afaik Gobuntu has been discontinued in lieu of gNewSense :-/ If there would be a Gobuntu Intrepid Ibex release it would hit the spot :)

    You said that directly after the boot process stops that you are in a type of 'dosbox'.
    There should be a cursor around which allows you to input commands.

    Just enter 'dmesg' at this command...

    and you can use the 'emerald-theme-manager' to switch themes when you get bored of a certain theme you have :D
