    killall gnome-panel
    but I got this out:

    gnome-panel: no process killed
    I tried the second one, and it seemed to work all right, but it didn't help at all. Panels are still gone :(

    I logged into Ubuntu today, to find both my panels gone. I have restarted about ten times (no, I'm not kidding), to no avail. Please, someone help.
