Well I found out the issue. Apparently UEFI booting breaks fglrx reading the GPU's BIOS. Probably a broken implementation of it. With my other laptop I couldn't even boot Linux via UEFI to begin...

I'm not having any issues with my A8-4500M and all the 3.7 kernels that have been released.
Do you have a changelog between this and the first beta? I'm just wondering if it's worth my time to update or not.
The newest 3.7.0 kernel (-2) is having issues with audio for me. The -1 revision worked fine. KDE's startup sound works, but that's about it. Flash, etc, not working.

I haven't had any issues so far, minus the fact that the "linux" package was updated hours before the new 3.7 kernel image appeared for me.

Well I would download a daily Live image of RR rather than doing an upgrade of QQ. Not sure if it is related to your issue, but it's definitely the best way to do it.
