But you could also try to typ in your local IP and see if the site shows up and if you want to see the site externaly you need to forward port 80 on your router....

Do you run ubuntu desktop or server.
If you run server you could try to install mysql while installing the whole system from CD or USB
You could also try to install LAMP its apache mysql and PHP
When my server booted into busybox i found out my HDD was broken.
So if you could check smart status trough a other computer!
